The Board of Secondary Education, Haryana has postponed the Class 10 compartment exams 2023 and DElEd exam 2023 for first year, reappear, and special chance that were originally scheduled for today, August 1, and tomorrow, August 2. The postponement comes as a response to the Nuh violence. The Board chairman VP Yadav and secretary Krishna Kumar made this decision and stated that the new dates for these exams will be announced later. The Haryana Board 10th improvement, compartment, additional, and special chance exams 2023 for English subject were scheduled for today, and for Hindi subject tomorrow, whereas the DElEd exam was scheduled for tomorrow, August 2.


The Board Chairman announced that the secondary (educational) and DElEd (regular/re-appear/mercy chance) exams, which were initially scheduled for August 1 and 2 in Nuh and Palwal districts, were postponed due to Section-144 and curfew imposition. However, considering the current situation, the Class 10 English and Hindi exams, along with DElEd (regular/re-appear/mercy chance) examinations scheduled across the state on these dates, have also been postponed until further notice.


The next dates for the postponed exams will be announced soon, and candidates are advised to regularly check the official website of the board for updates. The Class 10 improvement exams 2023 and DElEd exams had started on July 27. As per the datesheets, DElEd exams were supposed to end on August 22, while Class 10 improvement exams will continue until August 4.

Notably, the violence that originated in Haryana's Nuh district has now spread to Gurugram, as per the news agency IANS. A mob in the Sohna Road area near Ambedkar Chowk pelted stones and set shops and a cab on fire. The violence escalated from a clash between two groups during a religious procession, leading to the burning of cars.


In an attempt to control the situation, a team of police arrived in the area, but the clashes resulted in the tragic deaths of two home guards and left at least 15 others injured, including police officers. The incident has so far resulted in a total of five fatalities. The situation remains tense, and authorities are working to bring the situation under control.
