The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) will begin the GMAT 2023 registration from tomorrow, August 29, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to apply for the Graduate Management Admission Test Focus Edition can apply on the official website at gmac.com. Candidates are required to possess a valid passport at the time of taking the GMAT exam. Furthermore, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Notably, individuals in their final year of undergraduate studies or professionals already employed are also eligible to participate in the GMAT exam for the year 2023.


In the current focus edition, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has implemented changes to the GMAT exam structure, including a reduction in the exam duration by one hour. This edition features three sections, each lasting 45 minutes. Notably, this version of the exam does not include the essay writing component.


The GMAT exam has also undergone enhancements, introducing a question review and edit option for candidates. Furthermore, examinees now have the flexibility to select the order of the sections in the paper according to their preferences.


Additionally, a revision has been made to the GMAT syllabus. Specifically, the sentence correction section has been eliminated, while a new segment titled Data Insights (DI) has been introduced, as indicated in the GMAT Focus Edition syllabus.

Here are the steps to register for the GMAT 2023 exam:




  • Visit the official GMAT website: gmac.com.




  • Set up a GMAT profile by providing your personal details.




  • Verify the information you've provided in your profile.




  • Choose your preferred test date and exam center for the GMAT 2023.




  • Double-check all the entered details for accuracy and then proceed to pay the GMAT exam fees.




  • Once you've completed the registration process, download the GMAT application confirmation page.

In the GMAT exam, a candidate is permitted a maximum of five attempts within a year, maintaining a 16-day gap between each attempt. Over a candidate's lifetime, they are restricted to a maximum of 8 attempts.


For the GMAT Focus Edition this year, a notable feature is the flexibility for candidates to choose the order in which they take the exam sections. This customization aims to enable candidates to achieve their best possible score according to GMAC's recommendations. 


In addition, candidates participating in the GMAT 2023 Focus Edition will have the capability to bookmark questions for later review. They will have the option to modify their answers up to three times per section, based on the latest update provided.
