The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will close the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025, without a late fee, tomorrow, September 26. Interested and eligible candidates can complete the GATE 2025 application through the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The GATE 2025 registration process involves filling out the application form, uploading the required documents, selecting two GATE papers and three preferred examination cities, and submitting the application fee. Those who are interested in applying for GATE 2025  exam, must check the brochure before applying.

IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 for admission to master's programmes at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, and other participating institutions. 

GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Students in the third year or higher of any undergraduate program, or those who have completed a government-recognized degree in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, or humanities, are eligible to apply for GATE 2025. Additionally, students pursuing undergraduate degrees from institutions outside India are also eligible.

The application fee varies based on the candidate's category and the submission period:

  • On the homepage, click the registration link.
  • Fill in the required details in the application form.
  • Upload the necessary documents.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Submit the application form and download the confirmation page.

The following documents are required for GATE 2025 registration:

- A high-quality photograph of the candidate.

- A high-quality signature of the candidate.

- Scanned copy of the caste certificate in PDF format, if applicable.

- Scanned copy of the PwD certificate in PDF format, if applicable.

- Scanned copy of a valid photo ID in PDF format from one of the following: Aadhaar-UID, passport, PAN card, voter ID, or driving license.
