The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru has released the response sheet for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 on the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. To check and download the GATE 2024 Response Sheet, candidates need to utilise their login credentials, comprising their enrollment or email ID along with their password. These response sheets display candidates' answers to the GATE 2024 examination questions, enabling them to estimate their scores. By comparing their responses with the official GATE 2024 answer key, candidates can evaluate their performance and project their potential outcomes. The GATE 2024 entrance exam was conducted on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. The examination was conducted in two shifts on all exam days – from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.


Candidates can check and download the answer keys for their respective exams through the Application portal starting from Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Subsequently, they have the opportunity to raise challenges regarding the answer keys from February 22 to 25, 2024.

To check the GATE 2024 response sheet, follow these steps:


Step 1: Visit the official website of IISc GATE at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the "GATE 2024 candidates' responses" link available on the home page.

Step 3: A new page will open where you will need to enter your login details.

Step 4: Click on submit, and your responses will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Check your responses and download the page.

Step 6: Keep a hard copy of the same for future reference.

IISC GATE 2024 Response Sheet: Negative Marking


In the context of the IISC GATE 2024 candidates' response, the following rules apply regarding negative marking:


1. For Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):
   - For a wrong answer to a 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 will be deducted.
   - Similarly, for a 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 will be deducted.


2. There is no negative marking for wrong answers to Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.


3. There is no provision for partial marking for any question type.
