New Delhi: The Delhi University has finally released its revised date sheet for the end semester/final exams for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students for the year 2020. These exams which were earlier scheduled for July 1st were postponed July 10th. Students can download their subject wise date sheet from the official website, du.ac.in.

The duration of the exam is 2 hours an additional hour will be given for downloading the question paper, scanning, and uploading the answer sheets. Students can try out the mock tests to understand the flow of the online exam mode, these will be available from July 4th. According to the official notice, Delhi University will conduct a mock test for undergraduate and postgraduate (regular, NCWEB, SOL) students in open book exam mode from July 4th to 8th, time-table of the same is available on the website as well.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university has decided to conduct its exams through online mode as an open book test. According to a notification “The University of Delhi has engaged Common Service Centres or the CSC academy under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, to facilitate the students with either limited or no network and hardware facility to appear for the OBE without payment of any fee.”

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Human Resource Development has advised the University Grants Commission has to review the examination guidelines released in May considering the present circumstances. It has been suggested to cancel the final exams altogether. Some states like Maharashtra and Telangana are not in favour of conducting exams and say they will not permit it.

An official notification by the Delhi University read, “In case of any discrepancy being noticed in the date sheets, the students may send their queries specifying all the relevant details to the Dean (Examinations) at dean_exam@du.ac.in or examviiconduct@gmail.com at the earliest so that the same may be corrected/incorporated accordingly.”
