The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday announced the postponement of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG scheduled for May 15 in Delhi due to unavoidable reasons. The examination, now in its third edition for undergraduate admission, will be rescheduled to May 29 in the capital city. Revised admit cards will be issued to candidates affected by the change. Delhi houses 258 examination centres for CUET-UG.
Sadhna Parashar, Senior Director of NTA, stated, "It is being informed to all the concerned candidates and stakeholders that due to unavoidable reasons, the test papers (Chemistry - 306, Biology - 304, English - 101, and General Test - 501) which were earlier scheduled on 15 May 2024 stand postponed for the candidates appearing in Centres across Delhi only."
However, Parashar clarified that the examinations scheduled for May 15 will proceed as planned in all other cities across the country, including Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida, and abroad. Examinations scheduled for subsequent dates (May 16, 17 and 18) at all centres, including those in Delhi, will remain unaffected.

Last month, NTA had announced the completion of the third edition of CUET-UG over seven days, with no score normalisation as all exams would be conducted in a single shift. The test format includes pen-paper mode for 15 subjects and computer-based mode for the remaining 48 subjects.
This year, over 13.4 lakh candidates have registered for the common entrance test, aiming for undergraduate courses across 261 central, state, deemed, and private universities.
In the initial edition of the exam in 2022, technical glitches marred the process. Additionally, scores had to be normalised due to the subject tests being conducted over multiple shifts during result announcements.
