The deadline for submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for both classes 10 and 12 is today, September 28. Initially, the registration process began on August 18 and was supposed to conclude on September 18, but it was later extended until today. It's important to note that there will be no further extensions for the LOC form submission, as per CBSE's announcement. In case schools miss the September 28 deadline, they have a window to submit the LOC with a late fee between September 29 and October 5. Additionally, schools are responsible for handling direct admissions separately for classes 10 and 12 and they should refer relevant cases to the respective regional office.
CBSE has also instructed schools to compile a list of requests from students for subject changes and send this information to the regional office. The board exams for classes 10 and 12 for the year 2024 are scheduled to take place from February 15.

Schools have received instructions to collect attendance data for both classes 10 and 12 until January 1 and subsequently submit this data by January 5. In the event of any discrepancies or deficiencies in the data, schools will be notified by January 15. They will then have until January 20 to rectify and make the necessary corrections as per the provided guidelines.
Additionally, the board had previously disseminated a comprehensive schedule for classes 10 and 12, encompassing aspects such as admissions, subject changes, attendance, and the List of Candidates. This schedule was titled "Framework and Significant Guidelines in The Context of the Secondary and Senior Secondary Certificate Examination for Guidance of the Schools."
Notably, CBSE has initiated the registration process for students in classes 9 and 11 who are slated to take the board exams in 2025.
