In the wake of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in a first has allowed the Class 10 and Class 12 students apply requesting changes in the alloted centre for the upcoming board exams.
According to an official statement, the board has allowed the students to apply for appearing from different centre for the upcoming practical and theory exams.

In the notice relelased yesterday, the board said, "Because of COVID pandemic, some students of Class 10, Class 12 along with their families have shifted to some other city or country and therefore, they are unable to appear for the practical examination or theory examination from the examination centre from where the students are registered for board examinations. Looking into the problem, CBSE has decided to permit the change in the examination centre."
As per the announcement, the students can change their exam centres by March 25 through a request to their respective schools. the examinees must note that the students need to inform the school from where they wish to appear in the upcoming board exams.
How to apply to change exam centres:
The concerned students should have been issued roll numbers by the CBSE. They will have to request the school they are currently registered with for changing practical or theory exam centre, or both. Students have to provide the city and state they would prefer to appear in the examination from.
Based on the request made, schools will login to school account on the CBSE website and submit the details of the students. It is to be noted that two separate centres i.e. one for theory and one for practicle will not be allowed.
