The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12th English Core, Functional English and English Elective papers today, February 22. The duration of these exams was three hours, with the papers commencing at 10:30 am and concluding at 1:30 pm. The Grade 12 English exam received positive feedback from teachers and students alike. Teachers praised the intelligently framed literature questions, acknowledging their requirement for analysis and comprehension of literary devices.


Ms. Alka Kapur, Principal of Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh said, "The exam highlighted competency in literature and required proficient writing skills for long answers."


She added: "The CBSE Class 12 English Exam was meticulously designed to assess students' comprehensive understanding. It emphasized competency in literature and demanded proficient writing skills in long answers. The balanced paper, akin to the sample, tested knowledge across important sections fairly. The diligent study was duly rewarded, reflecting a well-rounded assessment aligned with subject expectations."


Pooja Batra, Teacher Senior Years, Shiv Nadar School, Noida, Said, "The literature questions in the Grade 12 English exam were intelligently framed. The questions based on literary devices were tricky and required analysis. Set 2 was slightly lengthy in comparison to the rest. The students were well prepared and managed to finish the paper on time. They mentioned that the preboard papers had raised their preparation standards and were also helped by the exam tips given by their teachers."
