CBSE Term 1 Examination- 5 points which need to be remembered:
- CBSE has divided Class 10th and Class 12th paper subjects into two groups, minor and major. Exams for major subjects would be conducted by the board directly. The date sheet for these examinations has already been issued. At the same time, the date sheet of the minor paper would be released directly by the respective schools as they would be responsible for conducting the minor subject examinations using the question papers provided by the board.
- In view of the winter season, examinations would start at 11:30 am instead of 10:30 am. Students will be given an additional 20 minutes as reading time for every paper.
- CBSE would not be announcing results at the end of the Term 1 examination in the traditional scorecard format. Students would also not be placed in the pass, compartment or required repeat categories at the end of Term 1 examination. The final result would be declared directly after the Term 2 exam.
- The term 2 exams are expected to have both objective and subjective type questions but the Term 1 exam would only have objective type questions. Students would have to register their responses in the OMR sheet which would then be uploaded by the respective schools on the board's website.
- After announcing the board exam dates, CBSE's exam controller Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj said that for most students, the board would be allotting them their own school as their respective exam center. The examination centers would be thoroughly sanitized before the examination.
