Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has debunked reports stating the 12th chemistry question paper in the Assam HS Exams 2023 as false and baseless. The Assam Minister stated that soon after the news of the chemistry paper leak surfaced, he himself investigated the claims and found out that such reports and rumours were completely false.
“The news of Chemistry question paper leak in the current HS examination is completely fake and baseless. I have personally checked the matter. We are taking utmost care and maintaining vigilance. Please don’t heed fake news and rumours,” Ranoj Pegu tweeted from his official twitter account.
The AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council) also released an official notice clarifying that the chemistry paper leak rumours are fake and students should not pay any heed to such baseless reports.
''It has come to the notice of AHSEC that some reports are being circulated on electronic media claiming that the chemistry question paper for the ongoing HS final exams in Assam was leaked. The council requests students to avoid entertaining such reports and focus on the remaining exams,'' the official AHSEC statement read.
Notably, the AHSEC Assam Board Exams 2023 are underway, with the Higher Secondary Examination beginning from February 20. The Examination is being conducted in two shifts: 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, and second shift from 1.30 PM to 4.30 PM. The Assam Board Class 12 Exams will be concluded on March 20.
The AHSEC 12th Chemistry Exam was conducted on February 28, 2023. However, a day after the Chemistry Exam was held, several social media reports started doing rounds allegedly stating that the Chemistry exam paper was leaked a night before the exam. With the rumours getting traction, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and the AHSEC looked into the matter and clarified the reports as fake and baseless.
