Dharmendra Yadav announced that there is no reservation provision for single cadre posts, such as the Vice-Chancellor in Central Universities.
"Occurring of vacancies and filling thereof is a continuous process. The vacancies arise due to retirement, resignation, and additional requirements on account of enhanced students’ strength," Dharmendra Yadav said.
"Central Universities have been directed to fill up the vacancies in regular mode; the onus of filling up the posts lies on the Central Universities (CUs), which are autonomous bodies created under Acts of Parliament. Through special recruitment drives, more than 9,650 positions (teaching and non-teaching) have been filled, out of which 1,281 positions have been filled by Scheduled Castes (SCs), 634 by Scheduled Tribes (STs), and 2,011 by Other Backward Classes (OBCs)," Yadav added.
