AMU Reopening Soon: Aligarh Muslim University may reopen soon. A committee has been constituted in this regard that will give its opinion after deliberating on this issue. 


After the committee's decision, it will be clear when the AMU will reopen. The committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Aligarh Muslim University Vice-Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor. 


The 12-member committee will conduct an analysis in view of the current situation and decide whether to open the university for offline classes or not.


An update about offline classes can be expected after the committee makes its decision. However, there is a possibility that the university may be opened in a phased manner after the meeting of the committee.


AMU Committee Members


The AMU committee has a total of 12 members and is headed by Aligarh Muslim University Vice-Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor. 


Apart from these, the names of those in the committee are as follows: Abdul Hameed, IPS, AMU Registrar, Prof. M. Mohsin Khan, Finance Officer, Mujeebullah Zuberi, Controller of Examinations, Prof. Mohammad Waseem Ali, Proctor, Prof. Naima K. Gulrez, Principal, Women's College, and others.


What Does The Registrar Say?


Regarding the opening of the university, AMU Registrar Abdul Hamid said: "The Vice-Chancellor has constituted a committee to consider opening the university in offline mode in a phased manner." His statement suggests the possibility that soon the university may be opened for offline classes in a phased manner. However, this can be said only after the committee makes a decision.


The University was closed due to the covid-19 pandemic, and ow the decision to open it is being considered as the number of covid-19 cases have declined in the country.
