Recent incidents, such as the unfortunate suicides of students in Kota, Rajasthan, and other cities and a fire incident at a coaching center in Delhi, highlight the urgent need for strict regulation of coaching centers.
ABVP National General Secretary, Shri Yagywalkya Shukla, stated, "The guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education for the regulation of coaching institutions are warmly welcomed and extremely crucial. Numerous coaching centers operating without proper regulations and laws across the country have become a cause for concern for students, parents, and society at large. Effective implementation of these guidelines will pave the way for resolving issues associated with coaching centers. ABVP calls for the effective implementation of regulations governing coaching centers, involving deliberations considering the perspectives of all stakeholders leading to informed decisions."
Notably, the Ministry of Education in India has issued fresh guidelines governing the functioning of coaching centers across the country. These regulatory measures, titled 'Guidelines for Regulation of Coaching Center 2024,' can be accessed on the official website of the Ministry of Education at education.gov.in. The recently issued guidelines aim to set standards for the regulation of coaching centers with a focus on improving student supervision and providing support for study programs, competitive exams and academic endeavors, as stated in the official announcement.
