The ABP SmartEd Conclave 2025 held on Wednesday explored myriad aspects of the education sector in India. The distinguished speakers spoke on various topics such as the use of artificial intelligence in education, the critical need to upskill, how to use technology to teach young minds, the aura around government jobs, and much more.
The event featured a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Guest of Honour Anandrao V Patil, Additional Secretary in the School Education Department, Union Ministry of Education. Other notable speakers include Vijender Singh Chauhan, Associate Professor at Zakir Husain Delhi College; Prof. Sangeeta Shah, Professor at MDI Gurgaon; Priyanka, Founder & CEO of CRIA Foundation; Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Co-Founder and Chancellor of Shobhit University; and many others.
The SmartEd Conclave 2025 featured a series of high-impact sessions, including some of the most insightful discussions around EdTech and its role in shaping the classroom experience. The first session, titled 'Leveraging EdTech to Prepare Graduates for the Job Market', featured Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Sangeeta Shah Bharadwaj, and Mohsin Ali. They spoke about how technology has led to "unlearning and relearning" of skills and has caused a deviation from the traditional learning format. They also mentioned that AI has plugged certain gaps in traditional learning methods.
In the next session, 'Reimagining Education: The Role of EdTech in Creating Effective Learning Experiences', Mukul Rustagi and Varun Satia spoke about how EdTech has gone beyond classroom learning and is teaching even those who have completed their formal education. They also highlighted how there was a dearth of "skilled" personnel and explained why employers preferred skilled candidates rather than degree-holders. Mukul Rustagi also pointed out the advantages and accessibility of digital devices over traditional learning tools like pens and books.
The third session of the day titled 'Inclusive Education: Creating Supportive Environments for Special Needs Students', with Priyanka Jain Bhabu, explored the step-by-step exploration of inclusivity in education. She spoke about how neurodiversity is a crucial factor in education. "We have to get digital upskilling for the special needs neurodiverse population into the education system," she said.
Ankit Khandelwal and Arpit Mittal, in a session titled 'The Role of EdTech in Revolutionising Learning and Communication Skills', pointed out how edtech has empowered people to get solutions to almost every problem and streamlined learning. They also highlighted the role of edtech in "relevant learning".

The session, 'The Future of Learning: How EdTech is Shaping the Classroom Experience', featuring educator Monika Mehta, showcased how technology is aiding education. She also explained that it is a challenge for teachers to introduce technology to children and pace teaching streamlined with the individual needs of students.
The highlight of the event was the session featuring Vijender Singh Chauhan and Neetu Singh where they highlighted the romance of students with English and government jobs, the impact of social media on education, and a lot more.
The final session, 'Transforming School Education Through Technology: Government Initiatives and the Road Ahead', was addressed by Anandrao V Patil. He highlighted how the government was embracing technology to aid teaching and take learning to even the rural areas and beyond classrooms.
