Girls outshine boys



Girls have once again, outperformed boys. As per the report, 93.64 per cent of girls have passed the exam against 88.57 per cent boys. The pass percentage reached 91.3 per cent this year, a rise of 0.2 per cent from the previous year.

Re-evaluation


Students who could not qualify March 2019 exam can reappear in June 2019. As per reports, the DGE, Tamil Nadu has informed the prospective candidates that June 2019 exam for the second year will be held from June 6, 2019 till June 13, 2019. For the first year candidates, the exam in June 2019 will be held from June 14, 2019 till June 21, 2019

No one tops in TN 12th exam?



In an interesting fact, no one tops the HSC board exam. This is because, since 2018, the Tamil Nadu board has stopped 'advertising' or declaring the names of the top ranking students. Instead, it announced the city or district which registers the highest pass percentage. According to the DGE, the move is aimed to reduce the 'unhealthy' competition.

In 2018 last year, over 9 lac students had appeared for the TN HSE (+2) Exam 2018. The board had released the result on 16th May 2018. Girls in the state recorded a pass percentage of 91.1% last year, while boys secured 87.7% overall pass percentage. A total of 6754 schools secured 100% result.
