The Aam Adami Party (AAP) is all set to spread the fervour of Lord Hanuman across Delhi with 'Sundarkand' recitation programmes across all the 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi on Tuesday, party leader and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said. "The Sundar Kand recitation programme will begin on Tuesday at all assembly constituencies. It will be held every Tuesday at the zonal level, on every second and last Tuesday of the month at the ward level and every first Tuesday of the month at the assembly constituency level", news agency PTI quoted Saurabh Bharadwaj as saying.

According to news agency ANI, the AAP leader also said, "We invite the general public also to it... Soon, at around 2600 places, Sunder Kand Path and Hanuman Chalisa would be organised".

An organisation has been formed within the party for this, he said in a briefing on Monday, as per PTI.

Amid a controversy over the Shankracharyas refusing to attend the Ram Temple inauguration, the Delhi Minister was asked about the I.N.D.I.A. bloc's stance. He said, "We have no questions against the Ram Temple. Whoever is asking questions is asking the wrong questions. There is no need to question it. There is no timing to be seen for good work. We welcomed the Supreme Court verdict on it... The construction of Ram Temple is a matter of joy and pride for us."

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal To Recite Sunderkand In Rohini Temple

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to X and informed that he will recite Sunderkand with his wife in a temple Rohini. "Tomorrow, Aam Aadmi Party is organizing Sunderkand recitation at many places in Delhi for everyone's happiness, peace and progress. I, along with my wife, will recite Sunderkand along with all the devotees in the Rohini temple at 3 o'clock. All of you can attend near your home as per your convenience," he posted on X.

'Sundarkand' is one of the chapters in the epic poem 'Ramacharitmanas', based on the Ramayana.

The announcement comes ahead of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has not yet received any formal invitation for the 'pran pratishtha' ceremony, sources in the AAP told PTI.

The CM, however, received a letter a few days back informing that he should block his dates and that a formal invite along with details would follow, reported PTI.

The invitations for Ram Lalla idol consecration have become the 'nub' of discussion. Earlier, other leaders of I.N.D.I.A bloc 'respectfully declined' the invitation of the temple.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and other senior leaders, including former PM Manmohan Singh, former president Sonia Gandhi and LoP in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, will not attend the Ram idol consecration event. CPI(M)General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI Rajya Sabha MP Brinda Karat, and Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee will also not attend the event, reported ANI.

Notably, invitations for the Ayodhya event have not been sent to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, and Shiv Sena-UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray.

The grandeur consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla is scheduled for January 22 in Ayodhya.
