Logix Mall fire: A fire broke out at the Logix City Center Mall in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday afternoon. The fire is likely to have broken out at a garments showroom in the mall. A fire department team rushed to the spot with several fire engines after getting the alert about the blaze and evacuated the mall. It is now extinguishing the fire. Logix City Center Mall in Sector 32 comes under the Sector 24 police station area.
The source of the fire and the extent of the damage is yet to be determined. However, sources told ABP News the fire was quickly controlled and massive damage was prevented.
City Center is the only retail space property of the Noida-based Logix Group. The mall was inaugurated in 2016. The mall is spread across 25,000 sq metres. It was in the news just three years after its inauguration when its water supply was cut off because of mounting dues to the Noida Authority totalling Rs 46 lakh.
Videos of the fire are circulating on social media platforms. The images showed thick smoke in the corridors of the mall. According to a report by The Times of India, the fire is likely to have started due to a short circuit. But a detailed investigation will reveal the exact cause of the blaze.
