Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, who registered a complaint against AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal for MLA poaching allegations, expressed his happiness over crime branch serving Delhi CM a notice and said that his party had condemned his fake allegation and registered a complaint against him.
He said, "I am happy if the police have given him a notice. Now, Kejriwal has to speak on his allegation, who are those MLAs who were approached and who spoke to them..."
Virendra also alleged that it is Kejriwal's habit to sensationalise things and run away. He further claimed that the AAP convenor has lied, because of which he is avoiding the notice now. He also said that the police will do their work.
The Delhi Crime Branch had arrived at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence and served him notice over his recent claims that the BJP was trying to poach seven AAP MLAs. He was also asked to present evidence to back his claims.
The Crime Branch also visited Delhi Education Minister Atishi's residence, but neither Arvind nor Atishi could be reached.
Kejriwal took to his X account, where he made the claims against the BJP. He wrote that BJP got in touch with seven AAP MLAs and quoted a BJP leader saying, "We will arrest Kejriwal after a few days. After that, we will break away the MLAs. Talks have been held with 21 MLAs. We are talking to others as well. We will topple the AAP government in Delhi. You can also come. Will give RS 25 crore each and contest the elections on BJP ticket."
BJP responded to Kejriwal's claims and stated that the allegations were false and characterised them as his last efforts to stay "politically relevant."
While calling Kejriwal 'politically desperate' Virendra Sachdeva said that the false allegations show how 'mentally bankrupt' the AAP convenor has become.
