Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning on Monday with the minimum temperature settling at 19.6 degrees Celsius, six notches below the season's average. The relative humidity at 8.30 am stood at 87 per cent. The weather office has forecast thunderstorms with rain during the day. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around the 26-degrees-Celsius mark.






The weather office has made predictions of thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain over and adjoining areas of isolated places of ( Narela, Alipur, Rohini, Mundaka, Pashchim Vihar, Punjabi Bagh), NCR ( Indirapuram, Noida) Panipat, Gannaur, Sonipat (Haryana) Shamli, Kandhla, Baraut, Bagpat, Khekra, Hapur, Siyana, Bulandshahar, Shikarpur, Khurja, Pahasu (U.P.) . Light intensity rain/drizzle would occur over and adjoining areas of NCR ( Ghaziabad, Chhapraula, Faridabad) Rohtak (Haryana) Deoband, Nazibabad, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnaur, Chandpur, Meerut, Kithor, Garhmukteshwar, Sambhal, Chandausi, Bahajoi, Narora, Gabhana, Khair, Aligarh (U.P.) during next 2 hours.


IMD Issues Advisory After Rain And Thunderstorm In Delhi-NCR


Following the rain and thunderstorm in Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas, IMD has issued an advisory. According to the advisory, people are asked to stay indoors and follow traffic advisories.






In the advisory, IMD has also asked people to avoid taking shelter under trees. IMD has predicted water logging in low lying areas and traffic congestion due to rain and thunderstorm in the national capital. 


The minimum temperature on Sunday in the national capital settled at 22.8 degrees Celsius which is a just notch below the season's average temperature. The relative humidity recorded at 8:30 am stood at 66 per cent as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weatherman had forecast cloudy skies for the day with light rain and thunderstorms which will be accompanied by gusty winds with a speed of about 30-40 kilometres per hour.
