Delhi Weather Update: IMD Forecasts Clear Sky In Capital, Min Temp To Hover Around 6 Degrees Celsius

The national capital witnessed a foggy morning. The IMD, however, has predicted mainly a clear sky with mist in the morning.

Delhi Weather Update: The residents of the national capital have been witnessing fluctuations in weather conditions, with cold mornings accompanied by warm afternoons. Delhi woke up to a foggy morning on Saturday. In the early morning, a layer of fog was also witnessed in parts of Delhi-NCR amidst cold conditions.

The India Meteorological Department, however, has predicted a mainly clear sky with mist in the morning. According to the weather office, the temperature is likely to drop to 6 degrees Celsius.

As cold weather conditions continued to prevail in the capital, people were seen sitting around the bonfire to keep themselves warm early in the morning.

Meanwhile in Punjab and Haryana, there was no let-up in cold weather conditions on Saturday with Hisar being the coldest. Hisar in Haryana recorded a low of 3.6 degrees Celsius, five degrees below normal, according to a report of the MeT department.

According to news agency PTI, Ambala recorded a minimum temperature of 8.2 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal. Karnal, Narnaul, Rohtak, Bhiwani and Sirsa registered minimum temperatures of 5, 8.6, 5.8, 9.4 and 7.8 degrees Celsius, respectively. Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal.
