Delhi Weather: The residents of the national capital experienced another day of bone-chilling winter as dense fog enveloped the city on Wednesday morning. A blanket of thick fog covered Delhi-NCR, leading to decreased visibility and posing challenges for commuters. Train and flight operations were affected due to the dense fog and commuters encountered difficulties following the delay.

Flight operations were disrupted at the Delhi airport as five flights were diverted between 9 pm on Tuesday to 7 am on Wednesday. Three flights were diverted to Jaipur and other two to Mumbai and Ahmedabad, ANI reported, citing airport sources.

At least 23 trains to Delhi from various parts of the country are running late due to dense fog conditions as on Wednesday.

In view of the dense fog, Delhi Airport on Wednesday issued a passenger advisory that read, "While landing and takeoffs continue at Delhi Airport, flights that are not CAT III compliant may get affected. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted," as quoted by ANI. Visuals from different places in Delhi have shown people swarming around bonfires to keep themselves warm.

Speaking to ANI, a resident in the Red Fort area expressed the difficulties people are facing as buses are running late and, in some parts, public vehicles are not even available owing to the chilling weather. A shopkeeper told ANI, "We are resorting to bonfire to keep ourselves warm, and this cold will continue till February. Due to the intense fog, customers are not visiting my shop," he added.

Earlier on Tuesday, flight operations were also disrupted at the Delhi airport on account of the thick fog across the national capital on Tuesday morning.
