At least four schools in the Delhi-NCR received bomb threats on Wednesday morning, after which they were evacuated and bomb disposal squads and fire tenders were pressed into service.


Information was received regarding a bomb in Delhi Public School, Dwarka, said the Delhi Police, adding, that a bomb disposal squad and fire tenders were rushed to the spot and a search is underway. 


The police also said that an email was received this morning at Mother Mary's School, East Delhi Mayur Vihar regarding a bomb threat. The school has been evacuated and a thorough checking of the school premises is being done, the police said, as per ANI. 






Sanskriti School also received a bomb threat via email, said the police, adding that a thorough checking of the school premises is being done.






Delhi Public School, Noida, has also received an email that threatens the safety and security of the students. "As a precautionary measure, we are sending the students back home immediately," a statement from the principal's office read. 


"We received a mail regarding a bomb. We have students so we can't take the risk," said school Principal, Kamini, adding, "We informed the police. The parents have been informed and the students have been sent back to their homes."  






Delhi Public School in Noida's Sector 122 also received a similar threat after which parents rushed to pick up their children from school. 


According to Delhi Police, several schools have received emails regarding bomb threats. News agency ANI quoted the Delhi Police as saying: "During the initial investigation, it seems that since yesterday, the mail has been sent to many places and it seems to be on the same pattern. The date line is not mentioned and BCC is mentioned in the mail, which means one mail has been sent to many places. At present an investigation is being done."
