New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the notice issued to him over AAP's claim that the BJP attempted to poach MLAs from the party.

He claimed that the Delhi Police was insulted by its political masters. He further stated that everyone knows which party topples governments and breaks up parties.

"The officers who came from Crime Branch were made to do a lot of drama in front of my house. They didn't join the police force for this. Their political masters made a joke of the Delhi Police. They were asking who approached to buy AAP MLAs. Is this hidden from anyone? There is only one party in the country which is buying everyone..," the Delhi CM said.

He further claimed that the Delhi Police notice to him has no mention of FIR and said that a country will not progress by such theatrics, reported PTI.

Drama unfolded outside the residence of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday morning when a Crime Branch team arrived to serve him a notice in connection with allegations that the BJP had tried to poach seven AAP MLAs by offering them Rs 25 crore each.

Kejriwal also responded to former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case. "Wrongful arrest of sitting CM is not right, whatever is happening not good for democracy," he said.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren on Monday secured victory in the crucial trust vote held in the state assembly. The JMM-led coalition government, comprising the JMM, Congress, and RJD, received backing from 47 MLAs, while 29 legislators opposed the confidence motion in the 81-member assembly.

He assumed the position of Chief Minister on February 2, succeeding Hemant Soren. The new Chief Minister, confident in his government's strength, scheduled the trust vote for February 5.

Earlier today, Kejriwal also met the pilgrims leaving for Tirupati under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana. He urged the pilgrims to pray for the country and the people of Delhi.
