New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in a tweet informed that the Magenta Line which runs from Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden is facing a delay. The delay is in services between Kalindi Kunj and Okhla Bird Sanctuary.  The DMRC in its tweet also said that all other lines are running as normal.

Reacting to the tweet, several users have questioned what is causing the delay, and some users have also stated how this is making them late for work.

Adding a picture of a crowded platform, a user wrote, "Please resolve the issue ASAP along Magenta line. Things are getting messy. View of Botanical garden metro station"

A user stated that the issue hasn't changed since yesterday which is making people late for their office or college.

Another user wrote how technical glitches and delays are not routine, and that no efforts are made to make the service smoother.

A user had a similar complaint and stated that the delays are frequent causing a heavy rush on the line.

In December 2022, the Magenta line Metro service was disrupted after a drone carrying medical supplies fell on the metro track near Delhi's Jasola Vihar. The services were disrupted between Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh to Botanical Garden "due to security reasons", DMRC tweeted.

The drone reportedly belongs to a Noida-based company, which supplies medicines adding the company's documents were being checked to ascertain if they had the drug regulator's permission.

“We are checking their documents whether permission from DGCA is there or not. We are investigating it and on the basis of the investigation necessary action will be taken,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Metro, Jitendra Mani, was quoted by ANI.
