New Delhi: AAP leader Sanjay Singh, who has been arrested over his alleged connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy “scam”, on Friday said there was a “big conspiracy to trap” chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Singh, who was produced in the Rouse Avenue Court in connection with the case, said not just a conspiracy, “something big” is going to happen to Kejriwal.

Flanked by several police personnel in the court premises, Singh, indirectly targeting the Centre, said, “There is a big conspiracy to entrap Kejriwal. Not just the arrest, they are going to do something worse with Kejriwal. They will execute something bigger.”

Meanwhile, the Delhi court extended the judicial custody of Sanjay Singh till November 24.

According to a report by news agency PTI, Special Judge MK Nagpal allowed Singh to sign three letters that were addressed to the commissioner of the Delhi Municipal Corporation with regard to the development work as a Member of Parliament.

The judge also directed the officials concerned to produce the AAP leader before a court in Punjab after it was informed that a warrant to produce him in a court in Amritsar in a defamation case was received.

Sanjay Singh was arrested over his alleged link to the case on October 4. Before him, AAP leader Manish Sisodia was arrested earlier this year.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) also summoned CM Kejriwal in connection with the money laundering investigation last week. However, he skipped it saying the summons were “politically motivated”.
