A disturbing incident of sextortion and harassment has come to light from New Delhi's Paharganj area, where a man was allegedly forced to pose with a naked woman and extorted of his money inside a hotel.

The incident was reported by activist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, who took to X to narrate the entire incident.

Bhardwaj said that she came to know about her friend's colleague, who had booked a cheap hotel in the Paharganj area, located near New Delhi Railway Station, as he had to use the hotel just to keep his luggage while he had to attend a conference.

She claimed that when the victim came after his work to collect the luggage, 4-5 goons entered his room along with a woman who stripped immediately while the goons assaulted the man and forced him to pose with the woman for photographs.

"After his work when he came back to hotel to pick luggage, within minutes some 4-5 goons entered his room along with a woman who stripped immediately. Before he could understand anything, he was slapped and hit by these men," Bhardwaj said in a post on X.

"They then took his pics with the woman and threatened that if he said anything, these photos would be made public. He was asked to pay 15000 rupees to leave," she added.

The activist added that the man ran from there following the incident but hasn't lodged a complaint. She urged people not to book cheap hotels in Paharganj and check reviews before booking a hotel.

In another post on X, she said that she been contacted by Delhi Police and DCP Central Delhi on the issue and the cops have "extended all support and are taking it seriously."

The post on X received several comments and reactions. An X user claimed that he also had a bad experience in the area saying, "I got surrounded by four guys trying to steal my phone and wallet. I was alert so attempt thwarted, but many people get robbed."
