The arrest of the Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was described as "dirty politics" by the national capital's chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal. He took to Twitter, writing: "Manish is innocent. His arrest is dirty politics. There is a lot of anger among the people due to the arrest of Manish. Everyone is watching...our struggle will get stronger".

Following the arrest of Delhi deputy CM by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday, political leaders' comments have flooded social media platforms and media arenas.

The AAP called Sisodia's arrest a "black day for democracy," stating that the CBI arrested him in a false case and that the BJP "made this arrest owing to political rivalry."

In the aftermath of Sisodia's arrest, AAP leader Sanjay Singh took a shot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in Delhi's now-rescinded liquor policy. He will appear in court tomorrow morning.

Manish Sisodia, Delhi's finance, excise, and education minister, had been questioning by the central agency since the morning, and his arrest was expected after more than nine hours. Since Satyendar Jain, he is the second Delhi minister to be arrested.

To maintain order and tranquility, the police have undertaken sophisticated security arrangements, transforming Delhi into a virtual fortress with various blockades and checkpoints. Outside Sisodia's residence and the CBI office, police have been stationed.
