An Indian student, Harshandeep Singh, was shot dead in Edmonton, Canada on Friday. Edmonton Police later arrested Evan Rain, 30 and Judith Saulteaux, 30, they also recovered the weapon during the arrest. The two have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with Singh's death.


According to CBC Canada, Singh, 20, was pronounced dead at the hospital after officers found him near the stairwell when they responded to the reported gunshot inside the apartment complex. As per the report, Edmonton police responded to a call about a gunshot inside an apartment building located at the corner of 106th Street and 107th Avenue in the Central McDougall neighbourhood.


The police haven’t revealed Singh's specific injuries, although an autopsy scheduled on Monday would reveal his cause of death. A CCTV footage of the incident was released in which a man and a woman were seen walking down the hallway. The man was heard yelling as he lifted and pointed a large gun. 


He appears to shoots someone off camera multiple times, while the woman and another person stand nearby.
