With several revelations tumbling out every day on the sensational Mehrauli murder case in Delhi, it has now come to light that the victim Shraddha Walkar lodged a police complaint against her partner Aftab Poonawala at the Tulinj police station on November 23, 2020. She had stated in the complaint that Aftab had tried to kill her and had threatened to cut her into pieces. But later on December 19, 2020, she withdrew her complaint stating that Aftab's parents helped them resolve their dispute and that she no longer holds any grudge against anyone.

ABP bureau accessed her statement in which she withdrew her complaint and also a copy of the summons when she was immediately called to the police station after she had filed the complaint.

The letter that she gave to the police to withdraw the case read:

I, Shraddha Walkar and Aftab poonawala live in the same house for the last 2 years.

Aftab had hit me on 23-11-2020 due to personal reasons at home due to which I got irritated and lodged a complaint against him to the police.

After this Aftab's parents came to our house and settled our disputes. I have no grudge against him for this.

My answer was read to me by the police and it is correct.

Earlier, in her written complaint to the police, Shraddha said that Aftab wanted to strangle her and cut her into pieces. She also mentioned that Aftab's family knew that he use to beat her and wanted to kill her.

In the complaint letter, Shraddha said that she "did not have the guts to go to the police" because Aftab had threatened to kill her.

She said she was still with him because they were about to get married.

She also wrote that Aftab's family's blessings are wIth him and Aftab will be responsible if she gets hurt.

The process for the polygraph test on Aftab began at the Rohini Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), informed Delhi Police sources on Tuesday. "Pre-med sessions and scientific sessions for Aftab's polygraph test leading up to the polygraph test are underway," said FSL officials on Tuesday.

In a gut-wrenching incident, Shraddha was strangulated by her boyfriend Aftab. He then allegedly cut her corpse into 35 pieces with a saw and preserved them in a fridge for almost three weeks at their flat before disposing of them over several days. He was arrested by the police on November 14 and since then he is in police custody.
