One Arrested In Maksi Violence Case

Police rushed to the spot as soon as locals alerted them about the incident. Police had to fire shots in the air to disperse the crowd. According to witnesses, a police force reached the spot immediately, but due to the involvement of more people in the stone-pelting and assault, the police faced some difficulties in controlling the situation.

Ujjain IG Santosh Kumar Singh also reached the spot and took stock of the situation. A police force was called in from Ujjain and adjoining districts. The police have now taken full control of Maksi to prevent any further deterioration of law and order. The police registered a case in connection to the violence and arrested one person.
