Bulandshahr News: The warning on stunt commercials or certain videos — "These stunts are performed by trained professionals in a controlled environment. Don't try this at home" — is there for good reason. Residents of Bulandshahr's Dibai learnt this the hard way when they lost one of their own during a 'stunt show'.
Two tractor drivers, egged on by Surajpur Mukhena village residents, engaged in a stunt performance with their vehicles in front of a huge crowd. Little did they know that this would turn into a tragedy. In Surajpur Mukhena under the Dibai police station area of Bulandshahr, two tractor drivers — Kalu and Tejveer — decided to show off their skills and strength by pulling on a rope with their vehicles in front of a crowd. The stunt reportedly involved a bet as well. Even the village crowd shared the excitement and cheered the two tractor drivers.
A viral video of the incident showed Kalu and Tejveer pulling on the rope with their respective tractors with all their might. Suddenly, Tejveer's tractor went out of control and fell into a ditch. Before anyone could realise what was happening, Tejveer was dead.
The deceased's family performed the last rites without informing the police after the accident. The incident quickly went viral on social media. This incident is said to have occurred on January 4. After taking cognizance of the matter, the police have registered a case.
Detailing the incident, circle officer Shobhit Kumar said that a case was registered against Kalu and action is being taken.
