The judicial commission has filed a report in the stampede which led to death of 121 people in the Satsang in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh.
If sources are to be believed, like the SIT, the judicial commission has also given a clean chit to Bhole Baba who conducted the satsang. According to sources, the judicial inquiry commission has blamed the negligence of the police for this incident. In the report, the organizers have been described as the main accused responsible for the incident.
At the same time, the commission has also given many suggestions to prevent such incidents in future. After the investigation, the commission has suggested that the police officers should personally visit every venue.
After its investigation, the judicial commission suggested that the conditions of the program permission taken by the organizers should be strictly implemented, so that such incidents can be prevented. At the same time, there should be a provision to take action on violation.
On July 3, 2024, the Uttar Pradesh government had constituted a three-member judicial commission headed by a retired High Court judge to investigate the possibility of a conspiracy behind the Hathras tragedy and stampede. In this accident, a case was registered against the main sevadar Devprakash Madhukar and other sevadars under sections of culpable homicide, life-threatening attack, causing serious injury, taking people hostage, violating prohibitory orders and hiding evidence.
On July 2, 121 people died in a stampede at the satsang of Narayan Sakar Hari Bhole Baba alias Surajpal in Fullerai Mughalgarhi village of Sikandrarao. In this case, the police arrested 11 people and sent them to jail.
Who Is Narayan Saakar Hari A.K.A Bhole Baba?
Sant Narayan Saakar Hari is a renowned saint in Western Uttar Pradesh. Wearing a white suit and tie, he imparts spiritual knowledge to devotees encouraging them to rise above materialism and embrace devotion to God, as per the information available with ABP News.
As per reports, he also worked in the government's secret service department in Bahadur Nagar, Etah district, but resigned in 1990 to pursue spirituality. During Covid-19 pandemic, he gained prominence for conducting satsangs and participating in discussions with his wife on stage.
An inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the incident. Reports mentioned that Narayan Hari also has political connections. Several prominent leaders from Uttar Pradesh have been seen on his platform on several occasions. This includes the National President of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, an ABP News report said.
