In a shocking daylight incident, three masked gunmen opened fire on a girl riding an e-rickshaw in Hardoi’s Majhila area on Friday. The bullet pierced through her leg, causing serious injuries and heavy bleeding. She was immediately rushed for medical help and later admitted to the district hospital for further treatment.

Shot While Returning From Sister’s House

The injured girl, identified as 10-year-old Ayushi, daughter of Brijesh and a resident of Kadri Gate in Farrukhabad district, had come to her maternal grandparents’ home in village Para eight days ago. She was returning from her sister’s house with her mother and brother when the attackers carried out the incident.

The sound of gunfire created chaos in the area. Locals immediately rushed her to the Community Health Centre in Pihani, from where she was referred to the district hospital due to her critical condition.

Questions Raised Over Security

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and launched an intensive checking drive in the surrounding areas. Efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused. The broad daylight incident has created fear among residents, who are now questioning the law and order situation.

Additional Superintendent of Police Martand Prakash Singh said the injured girl is now out of danger. Senior officials and local police have inspected the scene, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined. He added that the accused will be arrested soon and legal action will be taken as per procedure once a formal complaint is received.
