Thane: As many as 38 students of a school were admitted to a hospital on Tuesday after suffering food poisoning. The incident allegedly took place at Kalwa Sahyadri School in Maharashtra's Thane after the students ate the 'khichdi' served in school. They are in stable condition.






The students complained of stomach pain after consuming the 'khichdi', following which they were rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors are suspecting that the pain was caused due to food poisoning.


Kalwa Hospital Dean, Anirudh Malgaonkar said "The primary information was that 24 students were having stomach pain. We sent the ambulance immediately. A total of 38 students have been admitted to the hospital...There is a suspicion of food poisoning in the meal of the school...All the students are stable. We will monitor them for 24 hours..."






6 Of Family Among 9 Fall Ill After Eating Momo In Noida


As many as nine people, including six of a family, fell ill after allegedly consuming momo from a local market in Eldeco Society in Greater Noida Sector Omicron 3. Four of them, including two children aged four and six, are being treated at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Greater Noida.


A relative of the family said that another relative had brought momo for them on Friday evening from the society's local market. Shortly after eating the snack, the family began experiencing severe discomfort, stomach pain, and vomiting, indicating food poisoning, Hindustan Times reported.


They were then rushed to the GIMS for emergency medical care by the neighbours.  Three other victims of a separate family were discharged from the hospital.
