Emphasising the need for a well-planned urban expansion in Telangana, CM Revanth Reddy directed officials to ensure Hyderabad's infrastructure keeps pace with both current demands and future growth. He highlighted the importance of comprehensive urban planning, covering essential services such as housing, electricity, fresh water supply, and sewage systems.
To achieve this, he stressed that the drone survey, which had already been initiated as a pilot project, should be expanded across the entire Core Urban Area. The Chief Minister also instructed officials to seek technical support from Google for traffic control measures to minimize disruptions for motorists.
The meeting also addressed the restoration of ponds and expansion of drainage systems within the core urban area.
Key officials present at the meeting included Infrastructure Advisor Srinivasa Raju, Principal Secretary (MA&UD) Dana Kishore, and GHMC Commissioner Ilambarthi. The Telangana government aims to implement these infrastructure projects in a phased manner to enhance mobility and urban development in Hyderabad.
