Aligarh Teacher-Student Suicide: A teacher and a minor girl were found dead under suspicious circumstances in a hotel room in Aligarh. Initial investigation revealed that they died by suicide after consuming poison.

Police recovered two pouches of poison from the room. The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem.

The 25-year-old teacher, Chandrabhan, had done B.Tech from Mathura, after which he taught at a coaching centre in the Sarsol area of Aligarh. The Class 8 girl used to go to his coaching centre where they allegedly started dating. The teacher's father said that he left home as usual in the morning but did not return. He was unaware of their relationship.

The hotel owner said the minor girl had used a fake Aadhaar card with the name 'Muskaan' instead of her real name to enter the hotel. This name is recorded in the hotel register. The young man and the girl entered room number 204 of the hotel at around 8:00 am on Monday. When neither of them came out of the room until 6 pm, the hotel operator became suspicious.

The hotel staff knocked on the door, but there was no response from inside. They then opened the room with a master key. The young man was lying unconscious near the wall, and the girl's body was lying on the bed. The police were informed who began the investigation. ASP Mayank Pathak said both mobile phones and other documents have been seized. Their social media accounts and call details are being investigated.
