A stunt for a reel ended in a disaster after the man behind the wheel got injured when his SUV fell into a 300-foot ditch in Maharashtra's Satara district.
The incident took place Wednesday when 20-year-old Sahil Jadhav and his four friends were in Sadawaghpur's Table Point, a popular tourist spot known for picturesque views of the valley, NDTV reported.
Sahil's friends stepped out of the car and began recording the video. He put the car in reverse and performed a stunt, spinning the SUV in a circle. However, within a few seconds the car lost control, skidded off the cliff, and plunged into the deep ditch, while the man recording the video exclaimed in shock the dramatic turn of events.
The entire incident was recorded on camera and the video has surfaced on social media.
Sahil, a resident of Kapil Goleshwar, Taluka Karhad, was rescued from the ditch by cadets who had come nearby for police training. He suffered serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at Sahyadri Hospital. Police have also registered a case reagrding the incident.
Table Point is located nearly three to four kilometres away from Patan in the Gujarwadi area on the Patan-Sadavaghapur-Tarale Road. It is a flat terrain flanked by deep valleys and is famous for its inverted waterfall view. Numerous tourists stop here daily for photography and sightseeing.
