Rajasthan Paper Leak: The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) investigating the alleged paper leak in the 2021 sub-inspector recruitment exam has arrested another trainee sub-inspector, Monika Jat. Monika Jat, 25, is a resident of Nawalgarh, Jhunjhunu district. Monika passed the exam by cheating using a Bluetooth device.
Additional Director General of SOG and ATS Vijay Kumar Singh said Monika Jat, recruited in 2021, was serving as a trainee sub-inspector at the Police Lines in Jhunjhunu. She was arrested on Tuesday, March 18.
Paid ₹15 Lakh To Get Exam Paper
Monika allegedly struck a deal with the purported kingpin of the cheating racket, Paurav Kalar, for ₹15 lakh to get the exam paper via Bluetooth before the exam. Monika's sub-inspector examination was held in Ajmer on September 15, 2021. Paurav Kalar provided Monika with the paper for both parts of the written examination.
Marks Obtained Through Cheating Helped Monika Bag Job
Monika, who allegedly cheated in the exam, scored 184 out of 200 in Hindi and 161 out of 200 in General Knowledge. She scored only 15 marks in the interview. But due to the marks obtained in the written exams, Monika was selected for the post of sub-inspector.
When SOG arrested Paurav Kalar during the investigation, Monika absconded from the Rajasthan Police Academy, Jaipur, in the middle of her training. She, however, arrived at the Jhunjhunu Police Lines for her joining. SOG arrested Monika from there.
