A video has gone viral showing the son of Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa violating traffic laws and misusing police escort vehicles. 


The video shows the Deputy CM's son riding an open jeep with three other boys in Jaipur. The visuals show the boy flaunting while taking both hands off the steering wheel while recording a reel.  


Reports also claimed that Prem Chand Bairwa's son, who is on the driver's seat is below 18 years, which is violation of traffic laws. The Deputy CM has confirmed that the boy driving the open jeep is his son. 






Bairwa's son's convoy also has several police vehicles escorting the jeep. Meanwhile, Congress leader Pushpendra Bhardwaj's son is also spotted sitting at the passenger seat in the viral video. 


The vehicles escorting the Deputy Chief Minister's son is registered under the Transport Department, which falls under Bairwa's jurisdiction. There have been calls for an investigation into the entire incident.


Deputy CM Bairwa Clarifies: 'He Is A Child After All'


Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa has confirmed that his son was driving the jeep and clarified saying, "He was only travelling with his friends.


The Deputy CM said that his son studies in a school and has not turned 18 years of age. He also took the opportunity to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making him the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan.






"My son studies in a senior school. The boys with his are his school friends. I would like to congratulate Prime Minister Modi that he made a person like me the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan. If, after I become the Deputy Chief Minister, rich and influential people are making my son sit with them, then he (son) also has got the chance to see things and such a good car," Bairwa told ABP News.


"I would like to say that he is a child after all. He has not even turned 18 years. But if they are offering him, then I would like to thank them since they are sitting with my son after I was made the Deputy CM." he added.


Prem Chand Bairwa is also the Minister of Transport and Road Safety in Rajasthan along with holding other portfolios, including Technical Education Department, Higher Education Department, Ayurveda, Yoga and Natural Education and Unani and Homeopathy (Ayush Department).


On the question that there are traffic violations being done by his son, the Road Safety Minister said, "There was no traffic violations. The escort vehicles were behind my son's vehicle for his security. These things should have been talked about by them (opposition)."
