A helicopter crashed in Maharashtra's Pune near Bavdhan Budruk village on Wednesday morning. Locals informed the Hinjewadi Police Control Room about the incident. Three persons were killed in the accident. Police and medical teams are expected to reach the spot shortly.

According to reports, two pilots and an engineer were on the chopper. The crash occurred one and a half kilometres away from the Oxford Golf Club helipad after taking off from there. "Our teams along with fire department vehicles have reached the spot," Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Chaubey was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

The incident occurred at 6.45 AM near a hilly area in the Bavdhan area of Pune district, according to the police. The police said the chopper caught fire immediately after it crashed. police said. The cause of the accident is not known yet, but an investigation has been launched. Two ambulances and four fire tenders were rushed to the spot of the incident.


Nothing is known about the ownership of the helicopter at this moment. Various reports suggested that poor weather and low visibility might have caused the chopper to crash while passing through the hilly area.
