In South Delhi's Neb Sarai triple murder case, where a couple and their daughter were stabbed, police have confirmed that the killings were committed by the couple's son, who had initially claimed he was out on a morning walk at the time of the incident.

The son not only alerted the police about the murders but also reportedly informed his uncle. As per the officials, he stabbed his family while they slept because he felt "humiliated" by his father and discovered that his parents planned to leave their property to his sister.

According to a report by NDTV, police revealed that he had been plotting the murders for some time and chose to execute them on his parents' wedding anniversary. He has since been arrested.

The bodies of Rajesh Kumar, 51, his wife Komal, 46, and their 23-year-old daughter Kavita were discovered in their Neb Sarai home on Wednesday morning. Arjun, their 20-year-old son, initially claimed he had gone for a morning walk at 5:30 am and found the bodies upon returning.

CCTV Confirms No Entry From Outside In Home

The couple was celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary. Neighbours who saw the bodies stated that Rajesh, Komal, and Kavita had all been stabbed in the throat. Arjun reportedly told them he had left for a walk after wishing his parents a happy anniversary.

After recovering the bodies, police reviewed CCTV footage, which confirmed that no one from outside the family had entered the house, according to Joint Commissioner of Police Sanjay Kumar Jain. There were also no signs of forced entry, theft, or ransacking in the home.

Police Sanjay Kumar Jain on further investigation stated that inconsistencies in Arjun's statements raised suspicion. Upon sustained interrogation, Arjun confessed to committing the murders.
