Man Kills Flatmate Over Food In Ghaziabad
In another similar incident, a 45-year-old man allegedly killed his flatmate in Khoda in Ghaziabad over an argument on food. The accused, Sudhir Sharma, was arrested on Sunday for the crime.
He is a native of Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, and worked as a carpenter. He shared a flat in the Madhu Vihar area of Kooda village with a 30-year-old Netram Sharma, who worked as a labourer in Ghaziabad.
On March 21, the flat owner alerted the police after some neighbours raised an alarm over a foul odour coming from the flat. When the officials from Khoda police station arrived and broke open the house, they found Netram's body on the floor, the report said.
"A forensic team arrived at the scene and the body was taken for post-mortem," ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava said.
The deceased's brother then filed a complaint against the accused and a case was registered against him under section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
During interrogation, Sudhir revealed that he and Netram often got drunk and argued. They had arguments over Sudhir cooking for them at home, while Netram preferred to eat outside. On March 15, the victim had allegedly insulted Sudhir's cooking style, following which he poisoned Netram's alcohol, leading to his death.
