Entire Plot Orchasted By Advocate: Police

Initially, the police treated the case as an accidental firing, as Rizwan had no known enemies. However, further investigation revealed that the entire plot was orchasted by an advocate, known as Aftab Ahmed who was involved in a relationship with a junior advocate who later married and moved to Delhi.

“The girl's father lives alone in Makkanganj, Lucknow. Aftab thought if he got him killed, his girlfriend would return to her home in Lucknow and he would be able to meet her,” the police stated.

Aftab enlisted the help of Mohammad Yasir, offering him Rs 2 lakh and weapons for the murder. Yasir, in turn, recruited Krishnakant, alias Sajan, and the duo conducted a recce of the intended victim’s house on December 29. The following night, they mistook Rizwan for their target, Irfan Ali, and shot him.

After the murder, the shooters demanded money from Aftab. He denied stating that the person who was supposed to be killed was alive. Meanwhile, the police arrested Yasir and Krishnakant, and eventually arrested Aftab as well, according to DCP Raveena Tyagi.
