The Delhiites on Thursday morning woke up a a light drizzle, as rain lashed parts of the national capital.
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum and the minimum temperatures in the city will be around 17 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively. The bureau has also forecast possibility of a spell of a very light rain during morning hours. It added that smog/moderate fog will also be witnessed at most places and dense fog at a few places in the morning. As per the details, the sky will be partly cloudy and smog/shallow to moderate fog will be seen in the evening/night.
Many trains are also running late due to fog conditions in the national capital and parts of north India.
A statement from Delhi Airport on X reads, "Low visibility prodecures are still in progress at Delhi Airport. However, there has been no impact on flight operations. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information."
Several parts of north India also remain engulf in the fog. The iconic Taj Mahal was covered in a layer of fog as the cold wave gripped Agra city.
Heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand's Haridwar intensified cold conditions in the city.
