Bihar: A primary school teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bihar's Jehanabad has been suspended after a video showed her using derogatory remarks about being posted in the state.

The teacher, identified as Dipali Sah, expressed dissatisfaction with her assignment to Jehanabad, using offensive language to describe Bihar and its residents. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) took immediate action, suspending her with immediate effect.

In the video, the teacher complained about getting her first posting in Bihar, while her friends were being posted in Darjeeling, Silchar, Bengaluru and other states. "I could have got posting in any region. This (Bihar) is the worst region in India. I will remember this posting my whole life. They could have posted me anywhere like Goa, West Bengal and Ladakh. The ground reality is Bihar is Fu**** up. People here have zero civic sense," she said in the video. Shah added, "India is called a developing nation just because of Bihar."

During her suspension, her headquarters will be Kendriya Vidyalaya in Mashrakh, Saran district, and she is prohibited from leaving without prior permission from the principal.

Samastipur MP Shambhavi Choudhary Criticised The Teacher

The incident has drawn widespread criticism. Samastipur MP Shambhavi Choudhary condemned the teacher's remarks and expressed gratitude to KVS for its prompt response. Jehanabad MP Surendra Prasad Yadav also denounced the statements, emphasizing that such behaviour undermines the dignity of Bihar's people.

Yadav said he would write to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the Union Education Minister, demanding the teacher's dismissal to prevent future incidents of this nature.
