Several vehicles part of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s convoy collided on Monday evening in Thiruvananthapuram after the pilot car suddenly braked to avoid a two-wheeler. Although the Chief Minister's vehicle sustained minor damage, but, he was unharmed in the incident.


Police told news agency PTI that the accident took place at the Vamanapuram Park junction in the Thiruvananthapuram district, involving vehicles from CM Pinarayi Vijayan's escort. The accident occurred while the Chief Minister was on his way from Kottayam to Thiruvananthapuram.






In the video, it is seen that a woman on a scooter takes a right turn, causing a white SUV to halt abruptly. Six escort vehicles, including an ambulance, then collided in succession. Soon after the incident, security personnel were discovered deboarding the vehicles to assess the situation and check on the Chief Minister. Several medical staff were also seen coming out of the ambulance.


After a careful assessment of the situation, the convoy of the CM left for the journey. Police confirmed that no injuries were reported, and the Chief Minister resumed his journey. No case has been registered in connection with the incident.

LJP MP Veena Devi's Son Dies In Road Accident In Bihar


In a separate incident, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP from Vaishali Veena Devi's son Rahul Raj lost his life in a road accident. During the incident, his motorcycle was allegedly hit by another vehicle in the  Muzaffarpur district of Bihar on Monday evening (September 23), police said.


Police stated that the accident occurred near Saraiya, adding that the vehicle that hit his two-wheeler was yet to be identified.


Officers reached the sight shortly after receiving the information. Later, Raj. transported to the nearest government hospital, where he was declared dead. "His body has been sent for the post-mortem and an investigation is underway," Deputy SP Kumar Chandan said, news agency PTI reported.
