Delhi News: Ahead of the Union Budget 2024 presentation, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MPs including Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha protested at the Parliament premises on Tuesday against the alleged misuse of Central Agencies by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. With placards in hands, AAP MPs raised slogans demanding the release of party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Speaking to news agency ANI, party MP Sanjay Singh claimed that Kejriwal's sugar level has dropped below 50 mg/dL for 36 times till now.

"You are playing with the life of Delhi's elected CM... It shows that the case is not limited to his arrest, it is a deep-rooted conspiracy to kill Arvind Kejriwal," he said.

The AAP has been accusing the BJP of hatching a plot to kill Kejriwal by not providing him with proper medical care in jail. Earlier, AAP leader Atishi had alleged that Kejriwal's blood sugar levels had dangerously fallen below 50 mg/dL on multiple occasions while he remains in Tihar Jail under judicial custody.

The allegations have escalated the political tussle between Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena and AAP,  with LG alleging that Kejriwal may be deliberately avoiding the prescribed medical diet and medications.

The LG's office cited discrepancies in the medical reports, indicating variations between glucometer test readings and continuous glucose monitoring system (CGMS) readings despite having Type II Diabetes Mellitus. The letter said there were several instances of "willful low-calorie intake" by the Chief Minister, despite being provided with sufficient home-cooked food. The LG's office also cited discrepancies in the medical reports, indicating variations between glucometer test readings and continuous glucose monitoring system (CGMS) readings.

In response, AAP denied the LG's allegations, with Atishi saying, "Chief Minister Kejriwal can go into a coma, and there is also a risk of brain stroke."
