Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter, Harshita Kejriwal, tied the knot with Sambhav Jain on Friday, April 18, at Kapurthala House in Delhi, the historic residence of the former Maharaja of Kapurthala.
Along with close family and friends, their wedding was attended by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Manish Sisodia, former Deputy CM of Delhi.
Harshita is the only daughter and eldest child of Arvind and Sunita Kejriwal. She has a younger brother, Pulkit Kejriwal, who is currently studying at IIT Delhi, according to a report by TOI.
Harshita Met Sambhav In IIT Delhi
Harshita, an alumna of IIT Delhi, holds a degree in Chemical Engineering met Harshita at the institute, and now both have become life partners. The couple, who graduated in 2018, have now joined their personal and professional lives.
After a stint as an Associate Consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Gurugram, Harshita co-founded the start-up ‘Basil Health’ with Sambhav. Jain is also a project management consultant in a private company.
Basil Health aims to deliver personalised healthy meals using automation, an idea reportedly inspired by Harshita’s personal experience of unhealthy eating habits during her consulting career.
Apart from her professional career, Harshita also actively participated in the political journey of her father. She has also been part of election campaigns for the Aam Aadmi Party alongside her mother, Sunita Kejriwal.
The engagement took place on April 17 at Delhi’s Shangri-La Hotel, and the reception is scheduled for April 20, according to reports.
