A police team was attacked in Bihar's Sasaram on April 8. The incident took place in Moradabad village of Mufassil police station area.
As per the details shared by the police, they had gone to arrest a warrantee and an accused. Meanwhile, miscreants suddenly attacked them with bricks and stones. Two policemen were injured in this attack, among which one of them is a woman policeman.
The police of Mufassil police station had received information that a wanted criminal and a warrantee were hiding in Moradabad village. After this information, the police reached the village. When people came to know, the miscreants suddenly attacked the police team. In such a situation, the police had to return without making any arrest.
Case Registered Against 20
Regarding this incident, Inspector Roshan Kumar, in-charge of Sasaram Mufassil police station, said that the attack on the police team was done under a pre-planned conspiracy. He said, "An FIR has been lodged against about 20 named and some unidentified people in this case. Raids are being conducted to arrest the attackers. Further action is being taken."
Bihar Cop Beaten To Death By Villagers In Araria
Last month, a police officer was allegedly beaten to death in Araria after a scuffle broke out while he was trying to arrest a criminal. The deceased cop, identified as ASI Rajiv Ranjan, had gone to arrest a criminal in the district when the villagers attacked him in an attempt to free the criminal.
The offender was forcibly freed during the scuffle, resulting in the ASI's death. The body was taken to Sadar Hospital, where heavy police deployment was in place.
Cop Attacked In Munger
